Today begins fall quarter and a new beginning for you. How
will you make this quarter a more productive one with your dissertation? I have
a few suggestions for you. I have recently published a book Finding
Your Way to a Ph.D.: Advice from the Dissertation Mentor
that takes you step-by-step through the dissertation process. It discusses
dealing with committee members, tips on writing each chapter and getting
through the IRB process. Some recent reviews:
"This
book is an excellent guide to a graduate student who is looking to obtain a
doctoral degree. The items included give you the description of each step of
the way and what you may expect. Of course where you are pursuing your degree
may change the exact information, but this gives a very good look at what to
expect. This book will be at my desk for the entire journey and I am most
grateful for its guidance!!!"
"This
is a great book for graduate students, a step by step guide to the dissertation
process. I also, as a faculty member at a University, see this as a great tool
for faculty who mentor dissertation students. It gives understandable advice,
and tips for success. I highly recommend this book."
In addition, I have recently started a Facebook page with
additional inspirational tips: Facebook:

all you can this quarter to get your dissertation done!
Next time, I will consider not asking questions due to lack
of knowledge. Do you have an issue or a question that you would like me to
discuss in a future post? Would you like to be a guest writer? Send me your
ideas! leann.stadtlander@waldenu.edu
